I’m writing this review a month and a half overdue. I don’t know how that happened. Ooops :/
I’m not sure if I’ve updated much on this, but I won this book from a giveaway on afterdrk.com FB page. I was quite happy when I won it as it features one of my “style icons” Sabrina Meijer, although her style isn’t really the main topic of this book.
Based on the picture provided and the title, the Amsterdam Inspiration Guide for Cosmopolitan Travellers is a little book of things to see in Amsterdam. The difference is that the advice and sites are provided by different people in the field of arts, design, fashion etc who live in Amsterdam themselves. The places disclosed in the book are very much the “insider unknown places” These places mentioned range from clothing stores, furniture shops and restaurants, to finding the best view of Amsterdam.
This tiny book of around 6 inches in height is filled with very beautiful pictures of the sites to visit. In the book, provides a simple map of Amsterdam and a good extensive list of the places mentioned, with addresses, phone numbers and the works.
It’s very hard to complain about this book. If there was one complaint I would have, maybe that some of the suggestions were too repetitive. But again, it’s not a major fall-back at all.bloglovin google reader twitter
