The heat here in western Canada had escalated so much over the weekend. Spring officially felt like summer, and being stuck in a tourist city (Whistler BC) with gorgeous looking people showing off their bodies had me thinking about my summer body.
Perhaps it’s too late. I have 6 weeks to go from zero to hero and I wish I had started earlier, but it’s all about the perspective. I’m thinking of making my workouts just that bit tougher to actually create a slight change. The key to being happy within your own skin while trying to make a change is creating realistic goals. Personally, I think that a weight loss goal of 8-12 lbs. is a realistic goal for myself. I just have to keep up my cardio regimen, eat A LOT better and quite possibly do a short “challenge” course. I was thinking of doing the 100 push-up a day challenge. More on this as it progresses!
What are your thoughts on the annual “summer body” regime people put themselves through?
Hey there! I realize this is kind of off-topic but I needed to ask.
ReplyDeleteDoes running a well-established website such as yours require a large amount of work?

As for myself I don't really put myself through the "annual summer body" I just want to feel and be healthy hence the reason why I work out (and try to cook healthy food) during all the year, eventhough obviously there are periods in which I really feel lazy doing it. I don't think it is good to set your mind to look good only during summer, it should be something you do first FOR YOU. I do have the impression that the people going through a diet and sport routine before summer don't do it for themselves but instead are more preoccupied by the people who will see them in their swimsuits.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice reading your post and your opinion !
